Notice to all Snowmobilers
The lake at the junction of #10 and #16 Hwy at the Rest Stop (Antons Lake) is being aerated over the winter months. Large areas of the lake will have open water.
We are requesting that all snowmobilers Avoid Crossing This Lake.
Groomed Rural Trail Systems
There is an out-of-town groomed trail system which is part of more than 12,000 kms of designated Snoman (Snowmobilers of Manitoba) trails in the province. The Valley Snow Hawks club donates money to neighbouring clubs that bring their groomers into Minnedosa.
By law, anyone wishing to use these designated Snoman trails must have a valid Snopass. Any operator caught on these trails without a snopass will face a fine. Snopasses are now available from any Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) agent for $125.00 or you can purchase a seven-day Snopass for $60.50.
Valley Snow Hawks annual membership passes are $20 per person, or $45 for a family of three or more. Members receive information on the club as well as email updates. To contact emal valleysnowhawks@gmail.com.
Snowmobilers are urged to ride safely and check the website www.snoman.mb.ca for trail conditions prior to departure to ensure trails are open. Most of all enjoy, the sport of snowmobiling as it is fun and exciting for everyone involved.
